A Note From Our Editor, Carly Fisher
To All of Our Wonderful Readers,
I wanted to take this opportunity to reach out to all of you as we head into these uncertain times for the theatre industry. Of course, you will have seen that many shows have had to close their doors, postpone their runs or cancel their upcoming seasons, us included with our upcoming festival of shows in NO : INTERMISSION. This leaves us, as avid theatre-goers and with a deep passion for the arts, simply heartbroken and our love and support goes to all those facing troubling times as a result.
With theatres around the world currently closed, Theatre Travels reviewing will of course need to take a short break. When theatres resume, we will, of course, be there to support as many shows as we humanly can - it's what we have always done and what we are committed to returning to do. We will only be returning to the theatre when it is safe and advisable by the Australian government to do so and until then, we hope to be able to help you find ways to fill your day with theatre from around the world straight to the safety of your home. It's a sad time for our industry BUT we know that we will all return to this stronger than ever and more grateful for live theatre and the pleasure of being able to enjoy it together.
